The Royal Naval Sailing Association (RNSA) is a registered charity and the official Service Sports Association dedicated to delivering and promoting the sport of sailing across the Naval Service. Founded in 1935 and headquartered at Haslar Marina in Gosport, the association serves a vibrant community of 5,000 members, including serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and their families. Spanning three core disciplines—yachting (both racing and cruising), dinghy sailing, and windsurfing—the RNSA operates nationwide to build teamwork, maritime awareness, and military efficiency. By providing access to RYA-accredited training, regional water sports centres, moorings, and competitive offshore events, the association ensures that the Royal Navy and broader maritime defence community have the resources and support needed to safely and confidently take to the water.
