We are proud to be supporting the 2017 Yachts and Yachting Awards. The awards aim to highlight the best performances, products, clubs and events of the last 12 months.
The award category shortlist has been announced and we can expect some very worthy winners announced at the London Boat Show next month.
It’s been an action-packed season with records falling left, right and centre and a plethora of achievements from sailors to manufacturers. Clubs have seized the opportunity to strengthen their memberships. And both clubs and class associations have worked hard to provide events to remember.
A number of clubs and classes have celebrated anniversaries, showing how sailing has continued to go from strength to strength, through innovation and the commitment and enthusiasm the people at the very heart of the sport. Gear companies have also produced innovations across the board from dinghy to keelboat kit.
In boat terms, the foiling revolution continues as we see yet more foilers coming to market and foiling catamarans continue to be the talk of the sailing world. However, the more traditional dinghy market has seen a number of big launches and new boats from a variety of builders show the sportsboat market, in particular to be buoyant.
Winners will also appear in the February edition of Yachts and Yachting.
