It is getting to be a nicely busy office in Brighton Marina with another new addition to the UK team. Charlotte Fenn, Account Executive from Brighton has swopped teaching outdoors to join Topsail.
In just ten minutes we got to know Charlotte better.
Where are you from? I was born and bred in Brighton, I have lived and grown up on the south coast and couldn’t live away from the sea!
How has your first few weeks been with the team? It has been amazing- the team are all lovely and my training is going well and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone a bit better.
Where were you working before you came to Topsail? I have been working for Lagoon Watersports for the last few years teaching watersports. Sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and wakeboarding have been my passion since I was eight years of age. I worked my way up from a dinghy instructor at the age of 16 to become one of the senior members of staff managing the centre in the absence of the centre manager. Every day brought new challenges and working within the watersports industry has moulded me into the person I am today.
“I am a very enthusiastic and outgoing character and feel that I can bring a fresh view to the business, using my knowledge of the watersports industry and putting it into a new working environment. I am very approachable and feel that I convey that over the phone or via email very well. I strive to always have a very professional relationship with clients but still go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
“I am really looking forward to getting to know the team and learning new skills and feel that it’s going to push me to gain experience and develop.”
Do you have any pet or hobbies? I have an amazing dog called Bruce- he’s an 18 month old rescued German Shepherd from the RSCPA and he is the most crazy but loving pup! I also love sailing, in my younger days I used to compete all over the country sailing and was selected to be a part of the zone squad for the South East region, racing was my passion and every weekend I would be somewhere new competing against hundreds of people at a time (I’m hoping that now I have weekends off I can get back into competing again- maybe on yachts this time!)
Tell us something no one knows about you. I am really into my photography, when I was younger I used to travel a lot with my sailing and competed all around the country, whilst doing so I really caught an eye for photography, over the years It seems to of taken a back seat but I hope that in the near future I can start getting back into it and capturing my life through the lens again.
